Affiliates
Must have a GSU ID card and a letter on departmental letterhead, stating that the patron currently works for the department. The letter must be presented to the Circulation desk every semester for circulation and computer privileges. Checkout privileges depend on length of time affiliate is on campus.
ARCHE
- Check out up to 5 books at a time by showing your ARCHE borrower card (issue by your home institution library) at check out. For loan period & fine information, ask at check out.
- No Interlibrary Loan or GIL Express service
- May use visitor computers for up to 1 hour per day
Emory Students/Faculty/Staff
- Check out up to 200 books for 4 weeks at a time with 2 renewals.
- Show a current Emory ID at check out.
- No Interlibrary Loan or GIL Express service
- May use visitor computers for up to 1 hour per day
University System of Georgia Students/Faculty/Staff
- Check out up to 25 books for 4 weeks at a time with 2 renewals.
- Show a current campus ID from your home institution at check out
- No Interlibrary Loan service (ask at home institution)
- May use a visitor computer by showing a campus ID from the home institution at the Circulation Desk.
Board of Regents Administrative Staff
Same library privileges as current faculty. Show your Board of Regents ID card at the Circulation Desk (Library North 1) to check out.

State Legislators
Visiting Scholars
Visiting scholars may borrow up to 5 books at a time. The loan period depends on the length of stay at the University.
In order to check out items, a letter from the visiting scholar's host department must be presented to the Access & Media Services Department - Library North - 1st floor. If visiting scholars do not have a campus ID, they can use the visitor computers.
Visitors
Visitors have no borrowing privileges, but may use library materials in-house and may use designated visitor computers for up to 1 hour per day. For more information, see Visitor Policies.
