Welcome to the Library
Welcome to the Georgia State University Library. This is an exciting time, as the University implements a strategic plan that will help focus where Georgia State is going as it enters its second century. It is also exciting for us in the library as we strive to provide excellent collections and innovative services amidst the extraordinary changes of the information age.
The University Library is the center of Georgia State’s campus, both literally and figuratively. We provide support for campus teaching, learning and research as well as a social space for the university community. Like other large research/academic libraries, at Georgia State we are increasingly emphasizing electronic collections and services. Though there will always be print collections, we are committed to being a significant provider of electronic information services to the campus community. We are also committed to providing anytime/anyplace access to information and services, keeping you connected to knowledge.
We invite you to visit the library often (in both its physical and virtual locations), to explore the wealth of resources we provide, and to take advantage of the services that we offer. We are confident that you will find our library collections and services valuable. Please feel free to suggest what more we can do to support your academic endeavors.
