Faculty and graduate students can request journal articles and book chapters from our print collection to be delivered electronically. Use ILLiad to make your requests.
Who Is Eligible for Desktop Delivery?
GSU faculty, graduate students, and those with professional administrative status on their Panthercard.
What Can I Request?
Faculty may request articles and chapters from our print and microfilm collections.
Graduate students may request articles and chapters from our print collection.
- More than one chapter from a book
- More than one article from a journal issue
- Articles or book chapters that are longer than 60 pages
Users who wish to view more than one chapter from a book or article from a journal issue are encouraged to visit the Library to use these materials in person. Excessive requests or requests that may violate copyright laws will be cancelled at the discretion of library staff. Items available in the Library’s online collections will not be delivered through this service. The article or chapter delivered to you via this service is for your own personal use. It may not be copied or distributed to others.
How Do I Place a Request?
- Use your Library ID to login to ILLiad, our Interlibrary Loan system.
- From the “New Request” menu on the left, choose “Journal Article” or “Book Chapter.”
How Soon Will I Get My Article?
Requests are usually delivered within 3 business days; however, submissions of more than 5 simultaneous requests may take longer.
How Do I Access My Article?
You will receive a notification to your GSU email account that your requested article has been delivered. Login to ILLiad to retrieve your article. It will remain in the system for 30 days.
