The GSU Library has over 60 group study rooms available for students to reserve. Groups of two or more students can check out rooms in advance to make sure they have a place to study or work on group projects. Click the link above to get started!
Alumni & Visitors
Building Access: Georgia State University Alumni have visitor access to the library buildings between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 5:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, according to the Library Access Policy.
Borrowing Materials: Only alumni who are members of the Georgia State University Alumni Association may check out library materials. Alumni Association annual membership dues are $35 for an individual and $50 for a joint membership. Alumni Association members should go to the User Services Desk on Library North 1 to obtain a barcode for their alumni card. After that, Alumni Association members can check out up to 5 library items at a time. Alumni do not have interlibrary loan (ILL), GIL Express, or off-site access to online databases.
Computer Use: Alumni are allowed to use the library’s community access workstations. The time limit on use of community access workstations is one hour per day. Please refer to Visitors – Computer Use Policy & Procedures for details.

Building Access: Public visitors who are not affilliated with Georgia State University are allowed limited access to the library. Please refer to the Library Access Policy and the accompanying Library Access Policy FAQs for details about visitor access to the library.
Borrowing Materials: Generally, visitors are not allowed to borrow materials from the library. There are some exceptions, which depend on affiliations with other institutions. Consult our circulation policies to determine your eligibility.
