Giving to the Library Frequently Asked Questions
What Library goals and initiatives can I support?
How can I donate materials?
The GSU Libraries welcomes gifts of books written by GSU faculty that are not currently in our general collection. Please contact Skye Hardesty, skye@gsu.edu, Head, Collection Development & Discovery, to donate this material.
Donating Rare or Unique Collections: Would you like to donate historical materials for future researchers? Contact Special Collections and Archives at archives@gsu.edu. In your message, briefly describe what you’re considering donating. An archivist will contact you to assess whether your items fit our collections and help you prepare your items for donation. To learn more about donating, read our Special Collections donor pamphlets:
What is the Board of Advocates?
How else can I support the Library?
Endowments: Endowments provide endless support to the University Library and enable us to fulfill our mission in perpetuity. We encourage you to contribute to one of our existing endowed funds or make an investment in the library’s future by establishing a new fund. The minimum amount required to establish an endowment is $25,000.
Corporate/Foundation Gifts: The Georgia State Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) facilitates mutually beneficial collaborations, partnerships, and sponsorships in areas such as philanthropy, sponsored research, student recruitment, technology transfer, and continuing education. Contact CFR to discuss making a corporate or foundation gift to the University Library.
