Visiting Scholars
- The sponsoring department or program must submit a written request on behalf of the visiting scholar requesting borrowing privileges. The request should include the Campus ID and Panther ID Number of the visiting scholar, the length of time of sponsorship, and description of research needs. Email requests to [email protected]. Alumni & Community
- Alumni and members of the community may purchase a Community Borrower Card for $30. The card is valid for 365 days from the purchase date.
- Check out up to 5 books from the General Collection for 4 weeks with 2 renewals.
- Overdue items are charged $0.25 per day.
- These same privileges are also a benefit of Lifetime membership in the Georgia State University Alumni Association. Lifetime Alumni Association members may contact Pam Lucas ([email protected], 404-413-2703) or show proof of their lifetime membership at a University Library circulation desk to request a VIP Community Borrower Card.
ARCHE Students, Faculty & Staff
- ARCHE users are required to show a current ARCHE Borrower Card issued from their home institution.
- Check out up to 5 books from the General Collection for 4 weeks with 2 renewals.
- Overdue items are charged $0.25 per day.
Emory University Students, Faculty & Staff
- Emory users are required to show a current Emory ID.
- Check out up to 5 books from the General Collection for 4 weeks with 2 renewals.

University System of Georgia Students, Faculty & Staff
- University System of Georgia users are required to show a current campus ID or a government-issued photo ID to check out materials in person.
- Check out books from the General Collection for 4 weeks with 2 automatic renewals.

- Board of Regents Administrative Staff are required to show a current Board of Regents ID card.
- Same library privileges as Georgia State faculty.
