The Library helps improve students’ research competency through a variety of instructional service
Library Instruction Sessions
Our instruction sessions give students practice with library research. We offer one-time and multiple sessions to develop student research skills.
Currently, all instruction sessions will be virtual. Librarians will work with you to determine the best options for your class, synchronous or asynchronous.
- Atlanta faculty: Contact your department’s subject librarian
- Perimeter faculty: Use the instruction request form (Perimeter)
Workshops & Video Tutorials
We offer a variety of workshops throughout the year on topics such as scholarly impact, use of library databases, data management, and software applications.
See our Library Workshops and Events calendar for a workshop that interests you.
We also maintain video tutorials for help searching library databases, understanding and installing Zotero, and more.
Research Guides
Research guides are doorways to the research process. They help students identify and use resources effectively. They can stand alone or go with a research instruction session.
Review our list of research guides for one that suits your needs or interests.
Don’t see a research guide that suits your needs? Your librarian can create a guide for any (or all) of your iCollege courses. Contact your subject librarian or campus librarian for help.
